The celestial spectacle of the Pink Moon, also known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, Egg Moon, and Fish Moon, will once again adorn the night sky tonight.
According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Pink Moon will be visible in eastern time zones at 7:49pm EDT on Tuesday and will remain full for about three days, from Monday morning to Thursday morning.
Observers in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, and eastward across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia will witness the celestial event from Wednesday onwards. The moon will appear full for approximately three days around this time, from Tuesday night to early Friday evening.
For the following full moon, sky enthusiasts can mark their calendars for May 23rd, when the moon will reach its peak illumination at 9:53am EDT. Based on NASA’s location in Washington, DC, the moon will be full for about three days, from Tuesday night through early Friday evening.
However, next month’s full moon will occur on Friday morning in the Lord Howe time zone and eastward to the International Date Line.
