Parth Pawar Granted Y+ Security Amidst Bitter Baramati Battle

Parth Pawar, the son of Maharashtra Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, has been granted Y+ security by the state government.

According to sources within the NCP, the decision was made in light of the ongoing electoral battle in the Baramati Lok Sabha seat, where Parth’s mother, Sunetra Pawar, is contesting against her sister-in-law, Supriya Sule.

Parth, who previously had no security detail, is now being guarded by three personnel at all times.

NCP spokesperson Umesh Patil dismissed any speculation that the security was granted due to the political rivalry, stating that it was based on an assessment of threat perception.

Parth Pawar is handling the election campaign for his mother, who is contesting on behalf of the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Parth contested from the Maval seat but lost to Shrirang Barne of the undivided Shiv Sena.
