Netflix’s upcoming animated series, ‘Twilight of the Gods,’ is an epic revenge story set in the world of Norse mythology. Created by Zack Snyder, Jay Oliva, and Eric Carrasco, the series follows Sigrid, a woman who sets out to exact revenge on a god after surviving a tragic event on her wedding day. The first season of ‘Twilight of the Gods’ will consist of eight episodes and is expected to premiere in fall 2024.
The series features a talented voice cast, including Sylvia Hoeks as Sigrid, Pilou Asbæk as Thor, John Noble as Odin, and Paterson Joseph as Loki. ‘Twilight of the Gods’ promises to be a visually stunning and action-packed anime series that will appeal to fans of Norse mythology and epic fantasy.
In a December 2023 interview with Variety, Snyder provided an impromptu summary of the plot, adding that the film is a “revenge story.” Twilight of the Gods is one of the upcoming projects that Netflix will unveil at the Annecy Film Festival’s Next on Netflix Animation event on June 12, 2024. Snyder, executive producer Deborah Snyder, and Slimane Aniss, director at Xilam Animation, will introduce a clip from the series.
Netflix announced in April 2024 that the series would premiere sometime in fall 2024. This date is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing. Twilight of the Gods is anticipated to come out on Netflix in the fall of 2024. This is because Snyder, Oliva, and Carrasco developed the series for the streaming giant.
