The IMD had issued a warning stating that dust storms or thunderstorms accompanied by rain and wind gusts reaching speeds of 40-70 kilometers per hour could occur in the entire Delhi and NCR regions, including Sonipat, Rohtak, Kharkhoda, Jhajjar (Haryana), Bagpat, Meerut, Khekra, Modinagar, and Garhmukteshwar. The sudden change in weather brought much-needed relief from the scorching heat that had been gripping the city in recent days. However, the IMD has advised residents to remain cautious and avoid venturing outdoors during severe weather conditions.
