In response to user feedback, Sonos has unveiled a revamped mobile app and an all-new web app, aiming to enhance user experience. The upgraded mobile app eliminates the bottom navigation tabs, consolidating essential functions such as system controls, music library, recent activity, and search on the Home screen, simplifying navigation. The new app also introduces greater customization, allowing users to personalize the Home screen by pinning, moving, editing, and rearranging rows representing content, services, and other app features. Search functionality has been enhanced with the ability to designate a preferred music service for personalized results. Additionally, a swipe-up gesture from the Home screen provides a comprehensive overview of the entire Sonos system, including playback status in each room, a valuable feature for multi-room setups. The new web app complements the mobile app, offering the convenience of managing Sonos systems from a desktop display. The revamped Sonos mobile app and the web app will be available for download on May 7, providing users with a more intuitive and customizable experience for controlling their home audio systems.
