CSK’s Ruturaj Gaikwad Laments Bad Toss Luck Ahead of LSG Clash

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad has found himself on the losing end of the toss seven times out of eight this season, leaving him hoping for a change of luck ahead of their clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday, April 23. “One thing I need to work on is the toss, I’ve lost seven in a row I think,” Gaikwad said at the pre-match toss. Despite losing the toss, LSG opted to bowl first, leading Gaikwad to express uncertainty about the wicket’s behavior. He emphasized the importance of playing aggressively and capitalizing on opportunities. “There will be some dew later on, but you never know how the wicket will surprise you,” said Gaikwad. “You just need to go out there and express yourself, if the ball is in your area then just attack it. Hoping to set the foundation upfront.” CSK made one change to their side, bringing back Daryl Mitchell for the out-of-form Rachin Ravindra. The Chennai-based franchise will be aiming to improve their away record and secure a much-needed win against LSG.
