Neon Unveils Trailer for Oscar-Nominated ‘Robot Dreams’

Neon has released the trailer for Pablo Berger’s Oscar-nominated film, ‘Robot Dreams.’ Based on the graphic novel of the same name, the film follows DOG, a lonely resident of Manhattan who decides to build himself a robot. Their friendship blossoms, but one summer night, DOG is forced to abandon Robot at the beach.

The film stars Ivan Labanda, Albert Trifol Segarra, and Rafa Calvo and will debut in theaters on May 31, 2024. Berger produced the film alongside Ibon Cormenzana, Ignasi Estapé, Sandra Tapia Diaz, and Ángel Durández, with Jérôme Vidal, Sylvie Pialat, and Benoit Quainon co-producing. The deal was negotiated by Sarah Colvin on behalf of Neon, with Elle Driver co-founder Adeline Fontan Tessaur. The film was nominated for an Academy Award at the 2024 Oscars alongside Disney’s Elemental , Sony’s Spider Man: Across The Spiderverse , Netflix’s Nimona , and Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron (the eventual winner).

Robot Dreams is a touching and heartwarming story about friendship, loss, and the power of hope. The film’s stunning animation and evocative soundtrack bring the story to life, and the performances of the cast are truly unforgettable.
