After several years of successful collaborations, Malbon Golf and New Balance have unveiled their most extensive project yet, comprising a diverse range of apparel and footwear. Expanding beyond their previous releases, which included the NB 997 and Heritage models, this latest collection encompasses an array of co-branded polos, mock necks, pants, shorts, hats, and three striking colorways of the 550 Golf.
Malbon Golf has gained recognition for challenging established norms, as evidenced by the controversy surrounding their Championship Vest at the Masters. However, the Malbon x New Balance collection strikes a more balanced approach, offering pieces suitable for both formal and casual golf settings. Notably, the collaboration leverages New Balance’s recent resurgence in popularity, particularly among fashion and streetwear enthusiasts.
The collection’s shorts, constructed from lightweight poly/nylon, defy conventional golf attire while maintaining a level of formality with the inclusion of belt loops. Their built-in compression lining enhances versatility, allowing them to transition seamlessly from the golf course to everyday errands or gym workouts.
The Malbon x New Balance mock neck serves as a versatile layering option, crafted from soft cotton jersey and ideal for layering beneath vests, windbreakers, or polos. It is available in a range of four colors, matching the shorts’ color palette.
The polos, also offered in four hues, embody New Balance’s signature 90s aesthetic with prominent center logos and contrasting side panel prints that exude a sporty flair.
The entire collection, including the footwear, is now available for purchase on Malbon’s website. Additionally, the green colorway of the 550 Golf will be available on New Balance’s website, further expanding the accessibility of this exceptional collaboration.
