As Música Mexicana continues to dominate the global music scene, becoming one of Spotify’s most popular genres with a staggering 47% growth in streams worldwide, Tequila Don Julio is launching ‘A Summer of Mexicana’ to celebrate and honor the Mexican creatives who are driving this cultural phenomenon.
This summer, Tequila Don Julio and Sony Music Latin will collaborate on a series of immersive experiences that will bring the vibrant spirit of modern Mexico to the forefront. The ‘A Summer of Mexicana’ Tour will feature private concerts with chart-topping Sony Music Latin artists, including Christian Nodal, with stops in Houston, Los Angeles, and Chicago during the Sueños Music Festival.
The collaboration will also extend to Jimmy Kimmel’s Summer Stage, where Tequila Don Julio will showcase breakthrough musicians from the Música Mexicana genre. Additionally, Spotify, the world’s #1 streaming platform, and Tequila Don Julio will curate personalized playlists to celebrate the diversity and richness of Música Mexicana, offering listeners a unique and immersive experience tailored to their musical preferences.
To further honor the Mexican heritage behind Tequila Don Julio, Mexican illustrator Dia Pacheco has collaborated with the brand to create a special ‘A Summer of Mexicana’ Artist Edition. The vibrant box designs, inspired by Pacheco’s childhood in Merida, Yucatán, will be available on Tequila Don Julio Blanco and Tequila Don Julio Reposado bottles just in time for Cinco de Mayo and throughout the summer season.
