Atlus has unveiled Project Re Fantasy, an action RPG from their newly formed internal studio, Studio Zero. Captained by the esteemed game developer Katsura Hashino, the project boasts an impressive pedigree. Hashino has played a pivotal role in the creation of renowned titles such as Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 5, and Catherine.
Project Re Fantasy seamlessly combines real-time action combat with strategic turn-based gameplay. While weaker enemies can be swiftly dispatched with a single blow, formidable foes require a more calculated approach. Players can weaken these adversaries in real-time combat before transitioning to turn-based mode to unleash a coordinated assault with their party members. This innovative blend of combat styles promises an exhilarating and engaging experience.
Beyond combat, Project Re Fantasy places great emphasis on social interactions. The gameplay video hints at a compelling cast of characters and a unique mode of transportation—the Gauntlet Runner. This colossal RV-like vehicle serves as the protagonist’s mobile base, allowing them to engage in conversations with their companions, prepare stat-enhancing meals, and rest during their travels.
Atlus has also unveiled the game’s release date: October 11th. Project Re Fantasy will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, inviting players to embark on an unforgettable RPG journey filled with intrigue, exploration, and exhilarating combat.
