Princess Kate’s sweet photo of Prince Louis on his birthday spreads a “positive” message to the public, says royal expert. The Prince and Princess of Wales’ youngest turned six today – as the occasion was marked with a beaming pic of cheeky Louis being shared online. A cute snap, which is understood to be unedited, was taken by Kate at Windsor in the last few days to mark Louis’ special day on Tuesday.
Royal Expert on Importance of Children’s Photos:
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun the Twitter post should bring happiness to the public and shows the royals’ strength as Kate undergoes cancer treatment. He exclusively said:
“Well, I’m delighted that the tradition of putting out a photograph of the Wales’ children on their birthday has continued because it’s tremendously important.”
“I mean, it’s so important you want privacy, or as much privacy as possible, for the future King and his siblings growing up.”
“William and Catherine absolutely and rightly are so obsessive about this.”
“But, on the other hand, of course, the royal family need the media to put across their charitable messages.”
“It is a careful balance and that involves having photographs of them on particular occasions.”
“And it’s very important because it’s only reasonable. People would want that.”
Royal Family’s Strength Amidst Challenges:
Richard added despite Kate’s shocking cancer announcement, the Wales’ will still post a snap on their wedding anniversary this week.
“I mean, whether it be current one or not, one doesn’t know, but I’m delighted it’s being kept, and royal fans will be happy.”
“It’s it sends a positive message [during a tough time for the royals].”
“And you know, it’s something that people will look forward to seeing. And it’s a link that we want kept.”
Prince Louis’ Playful Pose:
The birthday snap of the prince, posing on his front in a garden, was shared across Kate and Wills’ social media today. In the photo Prince Louis can be seen wearing the Camel Check Oliver Shirt from Trotters, which typically retails for £50 but is currently down to £25 in their sale.
“Happy 6th Birthday, Prince Louis!” the proud parents said. “Thank you for all the kind wishes today.”
Kate’s Tradition of Baking Children’s Birthday Cakes:
Despite her royal status, Kate Middleton shares a common bond with other mothers when it comes to celebrating her children’s birthdays. Back in 2019, the royal revealed her love for baking her children’s birthday cakes from scratch, a tradition that has become a household favorite.
“It’s become a bit of a tradition that I stay up ’til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much,” she said.
“But I love it,” she added.
With Princess Charlotte’s ninth birthday approaching, Kate will likely be preparing to treat her daughter to a homemade cake, continuing the special tradition that brings a sense of normalcy to their royal upbringing.
Prince Louis’ Lively Personality:
Prince Louis has often stolen the show during royal occasions with his cheerful and playful nature. In 2022, he blew out his sister’s candle during a service at Westminster Abbey and was spotted having fun during a carriage ride and balcony appearance at Trooping of the Colour. His antics, such as wrinkling his face, pinching his nose, and distracting his sister, have endeared him to the public.
Louis’ Official Royal Titles:
With his cheeky grin and playful personality, Prince Louis has certainly made his mark on the Royal family. The royal is the youngest son of the Prince and Princes of Wales and holds the formal title of His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Wales. Before his father was made Prince of Wales, Louis was known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.
Another title he bears is His Royal Highness Prince Louis of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
