The matchups for the upcoming Big East-Big 12 Battle have been revealed, and UConn will be hosting a highly anticipated clash against Baylor. The Huskies, who are also in the process of finalizing a home-and-home series with Texas, will be squaring off against the Bears for the first time since a 96-88 victory back in 1965.
The Big East-Big 12 Battle has been a fiercely contested event since its inception in the 2019-20 season, and UConn has a 1-1 record in the two years they have participated. In the 2022-23 campaign, they defeated Oklahoma State at Gampel Pavilion by a score of 74-64. However, they suffered a loss to Kansas at their historic Phog Allen Fieldhouse on December 1st, snapping a 34-game winning streak against nonconference opponents that spanned the last two seasons.
