Leaked pictures from the sets of the upcoming historical drama ‘Chhava’ have revealed Vicky Kaushal’s transformation into Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The images showcase Vicky in the regal attire of the Maratha ruler, complete with a long beard, Shiva-like bun, and traditional accessories. Sporting a determined expression, Vicky is seen walking in a rustic setting.
‘Chhava’, directed by Laxman Utekar, marks the first collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Rashmika plays the role of Yesubai Bhonsale, Sambhaji’s wife.
After wrapping up her part in the film, Rashmika took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the collaboration. She praised Laxman Utekar for his calm and poise in handling such a large set and thanked Vicky for being a warm and kind co-star.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, ‘Chhava’ is scheduled to hit theaters on December 6th, 2023. Besides ‘Chhava,’ Vicky Kaushal has several other projects in the pipeline, including ‘Bad News’ and ‘Love & War.’ Rashmika Mandanna, on the other hand, will be seen in Telugu films such as ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule,’ ‘Rainbow,’ and ‘The Girlfriend.’
