Jules Hudson, the popular presenter of ‘ESCAPE to the Country,’ has resumed filming after a brief hiatus. Hudson, 54, had previously announced his three-month break from the show due to ‘burnout.’ Viewers have grown accustomed to his presence since he joined the BBC series in 2007. Hudson explained his decision to take a break during an interview with Lyme Regis and Bridport News, revealing he would undertake a 12-week furniture-making course in Lyme Regis. He stated, ‘Last year, I realized I was quite burnt out and needed a creative and emotional reset.’ Hudson’s wife suggested he consider taking time off and attending the Boat Building Academy. Hudson took to Instagram to share a video announcing his return to the road with the production crew. Addressing his 61,000 followers, Hudson expressed his joy at being back with the team, describing it as ‘lovely.’ In the caption, he wrote, ‘It’s great to be back on the road, Escaping to the Country.’ ‘We have been filming so far in Cornwall and catching up with some old friends!’ ‘If you’d like our help finding your new country life this year, get in touch. Head to my stories for a link to apply to be on the show.’ One enthusiastic fan commented, ‘Cannot wait. I love Escape to the Country but especially when you present, Jules. Have fun x.’ Another viewer wrote, ‘My favourite show, in my favourite place, with my favourite host.’ A third viewer shared, ‘Absolutely love the show, never miss it. Looking forward to some beautiful new locations.’
