A group of farmers from Tamil Nadu, including a woman, took their protest to Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Wednesday. They demanded better prices for their crops and the government’s attention to the long-pending river interlinking issue. The protest escalated when some farmers attempted to climb nearby trees and a mobile tower. Police used a fire brigade crane to rescue one of the protesters from the mobile tower and bring them back to the ground.
