Ann Arbor’s Uplift Bar to Cater to LGBTQ Community
Ann Arbor, MI – A new bar in Ann Arbor plans to fill a need for the local and surrounding LGBTQ community. Uplift is set to open late summer at 210 S. First St. in the former Millennium Club location.
Uplift will offer a welcoming and inclusive space for LGBTQ patrons and allies alike. The bar will feature a variety of events and programming, including drag shows, dance parties, and community gatherings. Uplift will also offer a menu of food and drinks, including cocktails, beer, and wine.
The bar’s owners, who are themselves members of the LGBTQ community, said they were motivated to open Uplift after seeing a lack of LGBTQ-friendly spaces in Ann Arbor. They hope that the bar will become a hub for the community and a place where people can feel safe and celebrated.
“We want to create a space where everyone feels welcome and accepted,” said one of the owners. “Uplift will be a place where people can come to be themselves, meet new friends, and have fun.”
The opening of Uplift is eagerly anticipated by the Ann Arbor LGBTQ community. The bar is expected to be a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
