Preity Zinta has commenced filming for Rajkumar Santoshi’s forthcoming directorial venture, ‘Lahore 1947.’ The period drama, which also stars Sunny Deol, keeps its plot details tightly under wraps. Produced by Aamir Khan, the film boasts an impressive creative team, including musical maestro A.R. Rahman and renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar. Zinta, whose last Hindi film appearance was in 2018’s ‘Bhaiaji Superhit,’ took to Instagram on Tuesday to share an update on the project. “On set for #Lahore1947 #newmovie #shoot #ting,” she captioned a series of photographs from the film’s set. Zinta and Deol, who previously collaborated on films such as ‘Farz’ (2001) and ‘The Hero: Love Story of a Spy’ (2003), share a strong on-screen chemistry. Deol’s last cinematic outing was in the blockbuster ‘Gadar 2,’ which also starred Ameesha Patel and was helmed by Anil Sharma.
