Hisense’s PX3-Pro Laser Cinema ultra short throw projector is the successor to the acclaimed PX2-Pro, offering a range of improvements to enhance the home cinema experience. The PX3-Pro features a brighter light source with 3,000 ANSI lumens, providing a significant boost in brightness, especially in well-lit rooms. The addition of “real-time Pro AI Algorithms” utilizes artificial intelligence to further enhance picture quality by optimizing brightness, fine-tuning contrast, and eliminating noise. These AI-powered enhancements have become prevalent in high-end TVs and are now making their way into top-tier projectors. The PX3-Pro continues to support Dolby Vision HDR and has a slightly improved coverage of the BT.2020 color space, now reaching 110%. Notably, the projector now supports polarized 3D, which was lacking in previous PX1 and PX2 models. The projection size range has also been expanded, allowing users to enjoy images between 80 and 150 inches from the projector’s ultra short throw distance. This means the projector can be placed just inches away from the screen, making it suitable for smaller spaces where traditional projectors require more distance. Another significant upgrade in the PX3-Pro is the sound system. Replacing the 15-watt stereo speakers of the PX2-Pro, the PX3-Pro incorporates 50-watt Harman Kardon speakers. These more powerful speakers provide a richer and more immersive audio experience, filling most rooms with sound. Users can also connect the projector to their home theater system or a soundbar for even better audio quality. The Hisense PX3-Pro inherits the user-friendly features of its predecessor, including easy setup, auto keystone correction, and image fit. It also has Google TV built-in, providing quick access to popular streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and others. The projector offers extensive customization options, with various picture modes and color and contrast settings to tailor the image to the viewer’s preferences. “We are all drawn to the magic of big-screen cinema and the immersive experience that pulls you into the story,” said David Gold, president of Hisense Americas and Hisense USA. “The PX3-PRO is our answer to this demand, bringing the essence of cinema into your home with unmatched realism, depth, and immersion. It delivers exceptional picture and sound, along with all the enhancements that make movies truly memorable.” The Hisense PX3-PRO is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2024 at select retailers for $3,500.
