The body of Shalu, the daughter of Tulsiram Verma, was discovered on a bed in the straw shed of a neighbor’s house on Wednesday morning. Police stated that she had been killed by a shot to the head. Following an investigation, police detained the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination. Shalu’s disappearance had been reported to police at approximately 1 am on Wednesday morning. Locals discovered her body in a straw hut used to store animal feed and grass on Wednesday morning and notified the police. Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, Santosh Verma, police have registered a murder case against four individuals: Jaichandra Verma, his mother Shanti Devi, his cousin Karamchand, and Karamchand’s wife, Meera Devi. The search for the accused is ongoing.
