House Fire in Ogden Leaves One Family Pet Dead, 12 Displaced

Ogden Fire Deputy Chief Mike Slater reported that his team arrived at the scene to find the outside of the home engulfed in flames, which had already extended into the interior. Immediate action was taken to search and evacuate the structure, and firefighters swiftly deployed water to combat the blaze. Despite their valiant efforts, the fire had begun to threaten a neighboring home. However, the combined efforts of Ogden Fire and North View Fire crews successfully contained the flames to the original structure. Twelve individuals were displaced as a result of the fire and are now being assisted by family members. Regrettably, one family pet perished in the tragedy, while another dog was successfully rescued by the heroic firefighters. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the affected home has been secured for further examination. Fire officials estimate the damage to the property to be approximately $350,000.
