Yazdi brings with her a wealth of experience in the entertainment industry, having previously served as the SVP of Film Development & Production at Fifth Season. During her time at Fifth Season, she played a pivotal role in the development and production of critically acclaimed films such as ‘The Lost Daughter,’ ‘Eileen,’ and ‘Flora and Son.’
Prior to her tenure at Fifth Season, Yazdi held leadership positions at The Weinstein Company, Universal Pictures International, and Independent Talent. She began her career as an agent at Independent Talent.
Tom Harper, founder of Popcorn Storm Pictures, expressed his enthusiasm for Yazdi’s appointment, stating that her drive to bring ambitious projects to life and connect with audiences worldwide makes her a perfect fit for the company.

Popcorn Storm Pictures is a London-based, talent-led production company founded by Harper in 2018. The company’s diverse portfolio spans two decades and includes the first season of ‘Peaky Blinders,’ the BBC miniseries ‘War & Peace,’ and feature films such as ‘Wild Rose,’ ‘The Aeronauts,’ and ‘Heart of Stone.’
Yazdi’s appointment comes at an exciting time for Popcorn Storm Pictures, which is building on the success of its current Paramount+ series ‘A Gentleman in Moscow,’ executive produced by Harper. The company also has a first-look deal with Lionsgate Television.
