The Cincinnati Bengals have exercised the fifth-year option on Pro Bowl wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, keeping him under contract through the 2025 season. This move ensures that Chase, who is entering his fourth season, will remain a vital part of the Bengals’ offense for the foreseeable future.
Chase, 24, has earned Pro Bowl honors in each of his first three seasons with the Bengals. He was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2021 after a stellar debut season in which he caught 81 passes for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns. In 2022, Chase continued to impress, hauling in 87 receptions for 1,286 yards and eight touchdowns. He also set a career-high with 100 receptions in 2023, tying for the second-most in a season in team history.
Selected No. 5 overall by the Bengals in the 2021 NFL Draft, Chase has quickly established himself as one of the most dynamic and productive wide receivers in the league. He has amassed 268 catches for 3,717 yards and 29 touchdowns in just 45 games, all starts. Chase’s exceptional play has been instrumental in the Bengals’ success in recent years, and the team is certainly hoping that he will continue to be a key contributor for years to come.
