The investigation surrounding the murder of 19-year-old Wisconsin college student Sade Carleena Robinson has hit a roadblock, with DNA testing from blood found in the suspect’s home proving inconclusive. Maxwell Anderson, 33, was arrested and charged in connection with Robinson’s death, but the preliminary DNA results have failed to match the victim’s profile.
On the night of her disappearance, Robinson reportedly met Anderson at a seafood restaurant in Milwaukee. Surveillance footage confirmed their presence together, and witness statements indicate Anderson was a former employee at the establishment. Following Robinson’s disappearance, her severed leg was discovered at Warnimont Park, and her Honda Civic was found burned.
Despite recovering body parts, including a foot, torso, and an arm, the conclusive DNA match has remained elusive. Anderson’s father expressed shock over the allegations and extended condolences to Robinson’s family, but did not address his son’s involvement.
Robinson’s mother, Sheena Scarbrough, has used media platforms to advocate for justice not just for her daughter, but for all missing Black and brown women in Milwaukee. She emphasized the need for accountability and highlighted the disproportionate number of unsolved cases within that community.
