Quarterback
Acquiring Zach Wilson does not negate the Broncos’ need for a long-term solution at quarterback. With the possibility of four quarterbacks being selected in the top eight, Denver may shift its focus to other areas of need in the first round. However, it would be surprising if they did not address the position at some point during the draft.
Defensive Line
The Broncos struggled against the run and rushing the passer in 2023. While it is unlikely that a single rookie can single-handedly turn around those fortunes, drafting and developing up front is a priority for Denver.
Edge Rusher
While the Broncos have several edge players they like, they could still target another one early in the draft, especially if they do not select a quarterback in the first round.
Offensive Tackle
Despite having two high-priced starters at tackle, Denver could use some depth at the position. This is a deep class, and the Broncos could consider drafting a long-term option even if they do not have an immediate need.
Offensive Weapon
Sean Payton has a history of utilizing offensive weapons who can create matchup problems for defenses. Denver currently lacks such a player, and they may look to address this need in the draft.
Potential Draft Targets
Some potential draft targets for the Broncos include quarterback Michael Penix Jr., tight end Brock Bowers, edge rusher Dallas Turner, and offensive tackle Olusegun Oluwatimi. However, the Broncos will ultimately select the players they believe are the best fit for their team, regardless of position.
