In light of the prevailing high temperatures in Uttar Pradesh, polling personnel deputed for the second phase of polling on April 26th will be provided with comprehensive medical kits. The move aims to ensure the well-being of personnel responsible for conducting the electoral process smoothly and effectively.
To facilitate a seamless voting experience, all necessary facilities, including tents, sheds, and ample drinking water, will be available at the polling stations for both personnel and voters. Eight constituencies—Amroha, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, and Mathura—will participate in this crucial phase of the elections.
To maintain the integrity and fairness of the electoral process, various agencies, including the UP Police, Income Tax, Excise, and Narcotics departments, are actively involved in conducting operations. As part of these efforts, 480 interstate check posts have been established within the state, and a total of 495 licensed weapons have been seized by the police department between March 16th and April 23rd.
The Election Commission of India has emphasized the importance of ensuring a free and fair voting environment. In line with this directive, authorities are taking comprehensive measures to address potential challenges and ensure the smooth conduct of the elections. These measures include providing necessary facilities for personnel and voters, enhancing security arrangements, and cracking down on illegal activities that could compromise the integrity of the electoral process.
