Scotty Middleton, who played at The Patrick School in Hillside, N.J., has always had a strong connection with Shaheen Holloway since his high school days. Therefore, when Middleton entered the transfer portal after his freshman season at Ohio State, Holloway wasted no time in reaching out to him. Middleton, who averaged 4.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in 30 games for the Buckeyes, explained that his relationship with Coach Sha was instrumental in his decision to transfer to Seton Hall. According to Middleton, their bond has only grown stronger over time, and Holloway’s unwavering support throughout the recruitment process made the choice an easy one. Middleton is excited to reunite with Holloway and is eager to contribute to the Seton Hall Pirates. He believes that his skillset and Holloway’s proven ability to coach winning teams will be a potent combination. Middleton has already set his sights on making an immediate impact and is determined to help the Pirates achieve success next season. He is confident that the team can accomplish great things with Holloway at the helm. Middleton’s transfer, along with the addition of BC transfer Prince Aligbe, is expected to offset the losses of Dre Davis and Dylan-Addue Wusu, who both departed via the transfer portal. With Middleton’s commitment, Seton Hall is poised to make a strong run in the upcoming season.
