UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is back on the comeback trail and has an eye on resuming his career this summer or early fall. The 36-year-old fighter has been sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle that required surgery in October. Jones worked out for the first time since his recovery period and was encouraged by the results. “First day back in the gym since my injury, felt amazing. And so it began,” Jones said on his Instagram account on Tuesday night. When Jones was hurt, he was scheduled to defend his title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 295. However, he withdrew from the bout as part of the event’s cancellation. Jones has an impressive record of 27-1 plus one no-contest in 29 bouts. His return to the octagon will be highly anticipated by fans and fellow fighters alike.
