The Indianapolis Indians defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers 7-4 on Wednesday night. RHP Paul Skenes started for the Indians and allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits with seven strikeouts in 4⅓ innings. 2B Nick Gonzales went 3 for 5 with two singles, his second home run of the season, and two RBIs. SS Liover Peguero broke out of his slump with a two-run double and a single, going 2 for 5. LHP Brady Fiegl picked up the win with two shutout innings, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out three.
Altoona Curve Fall to Akron RubberDucks 8-7
The Altoona Curve lost to the Akron RubberDucks 8-7 on Wednesday night. RHP Bubba Chandler started for the Curve and allowed two runs on no hits with two walks and one strikeout in two-thirds of an inning. RHP Valentin Linarez allowed two runs on five hits, including a home run, in 2⅓ innings. RHP Justin Meis gave up a three-run home run among his five hits allowed and took the loss. 1B Seth Beer went 4 for 4 with four singles and scored twice. SS Kervin Pichardo hit a three-run home run, his first of the season.
Greensboro Grasshoppers Blow Three-Run Lead in Ninth Inning Loss
The Greensboro Grasshoppers blew a three-run lead in the ninth inning to lose 6-5 to the Greenville Drive on Wednesday night. RHP Brandan Bidois gave up four runs on two hits and two walks in the bottom of the ninth and was saddled with the loss. Starter LHP Hunter Barco allowed two runs on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in four innings. DH Rodolfo Nolasco gave the Grasshoppers a 5-2 lead in the top of the ninth with an RBI single. 3B Jack Brannigan hit a two-run homer, his second of the season.

The Bradenton Marauders lost to the Clearwater Threshers 5-3 on Wednesday night. Starter RHP Hung-Leng Chang gave up two unearned runs on five hits with one walk and four strikeouts in five innings. LHP Magdiel Cotto gave up two hits, including a two-run homer, and took the loss. PH Jack Herman went 2 for 4 with two singles and a stolen base.
