Miami Heat’s Historic Shooting Night Stuns Celtics in Game 2

The Miami Heat’s offensive resurgence continued in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series against the Boston Celtics, as they exploded from beyond the arc to stun the first-seeded Celtics 111-101 at TD Garden.

Miami came out firing on all cylinders, making eight of their 15 three-point attempts in the first quarter alone. The Heat’s barrage continued in the second quarter, as they hit 55.6% of their three-pointers despite taking fewer attempts. By halftime, they had drained 13 triples, keeping them within striking distance despite trailing 61-58.

In the third quarter, the Heat’s defense clamped down on the Celtics, outscoring them 27-18 and converting six three-pointers on nine attempts. Tyler Herro, Caleb Martin, and Nikola Jovic provided a spark for Miami, hitting crucial shots from downtown.

Boston attempted a late rally, cutting the deficit to five points thanks to a spurt from Derrick White. However, Miami’s Bam Adebayo took over in the fourth quarter, scoring eight points and grabbing four rebounds to lead the Heat to victory. Miami added four more three-pointers in the final frame to seal the win.

By the game’s end, the Heat had made 23 three-pointers, setting a new franchise playoff record. Herro led the way with a double-double of 24 points and 14 assists, while Adebayo added 21 points and 10 rebounds. Martin also contributed 21 points, and Jaquez Jr. chipped in 14.

The Heat’s victory ties the series at 1-1, and they will now host the next two games at FTX Arena. Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday, April 27 at 6:00 p.m. EST.
