Padma Bhushan Awardee Mithun Chakraborty Meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Padma Bhushan recipient Mithun Chakraborty recently had the honor of meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His son shared the news on Instagram, expressing his pride and admiration for his father. The Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian honors in India and are bestowed in three categories: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. The post was met with congratulatory messages from fans and fellow actors, including Sudhashu Pandey. Chakraborty, who began his acting career in 1976, has received numerous prestigious awards for his performances. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of a Santhal rebel in Mrigayaa. He also won National Film Awards for his roles in Tahader Katha and Swami Vivekananda. In February, Chakraborty was hospitalized after suffering a stroke. Upon his release from the hospital, he revealed that Prime Minister Modi had called him and expressed concern about his health. The meeting between Chakraborty and Modi was celebrated as a testament to Chakraborty’s contributions to Indian cinema and his status as a respected figure in the country.
