New Music Friday: Normani, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Anitta Drop New Albums

Music is still in full swing as we approach the end of April, with a slew of new releases keeping us entertained. Normani and Gunna have teamed up for the sultry “1:59,” which will be featured on Normani’s long-awaited solo album, Dopamine, set to drop on June 14th. In a recent interview with ELLE, Normani opened up about her creative process and the importance of believing in her own music. “I know what it’s like to put out music and records that I don’t wholeheartedly believe in,” she said. “When we were in [Fifth Harmony], we didn’t have the opportunity to have a real opinion until the last project we did.”

PARTYNEXTDOOR has also unleashed his fourth studio album, PartyNextDoor4 (P4), which he describes as his hardest work yet. “This is the proudest I’ve felt,” he told Billboard earlier this year. “I’m excited to grind even more for the next [one]. I’m in love with how hard you should work for it.”

In the Latin music realm, Anitta has dropped Funk Generation, featuring previously released singles “Funk Rave” and “Joga Pra Lua” as well as the new Sam Smith collaboration, “Ahi.” These are just a few highlights from the latest music releases. Let us know which new songs you’ve been jamming to in our Friday Music Guide.
