Nandamuri Balakrishna, the Telugu Desam Party candidate for Hindupur Assembly Constituency, has criticized YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the incumbent Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, for his ‘tyrannical’ rule. Addressing a public meeting in Kandukur along with TDP Nellore Lok Sabha candidate Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and MLA candidate Inturi Nageswara Rao on Friday, Balakrishna asserted that Jagan seeks a second chance after failing to win the people’s trust.
Balakrishna highlighted the failures of Jagan’s administration, including the suppression of Amaravati farmers, the crushing of the state’s capital dream, and the introduction of cheap liquor after promising prohibition. He contrasted Jagan’s rule with that of his father, former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, who, according to him, provided food, shelter, and livelihood opportunities to the poor and middle classes.
Balakrishna also pointed out that the Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes/Tribes, and minorities felt safe during the TDP regime but have been exposed to attacks in the current government. He appealed to the voters of Nellore to support TDP candidates, including Prabhakar Reddy, for their bright future.
