Despite the ongoing legal troubles faced by her husband, Raj Kundra, actress Shilpa Shetty recently made a public appearance in her hometown of Mangalore. The actress, who has been thrust into the spotlight in recent weeks following reports of her home being seized by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as part of an investigation into a Bitcoin Ponzi scam, visited her native place with her family. While in Mangalore, Shilpa was seen watching ‘Daiva Kola,’ a traditional performance native to the Tulu-speaking regions of Karnataka. Taking to her Instagram handle, Shilpa shared her experience watching the performance with her two children, Viaan and Samisha, and mentioned how she was getting them acquainted with their cultural heritage. Shilpa watched the ‘Kodamantaya Daiva Kola’ with her children and later mentioned that the youngsters were ‘awestruck’ by the performance. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Tulunadu da Ponnu, back to my roots. Introducing my children to my cultural heritage. Attended the Nagamandala and the traditional Kodamantaya daiva Kola in Mangalore. My kids were awestruck and no matter how many times I see it, it always fascinates me to see the power and faith followed with such devotion.”
Meanwhile, Shilpa and Raj also released a statement regarding the ED probe and said that they are hoping for a ‘fair investigation.’ They also said that they would follow the due process of the law and take all the steps which are necessary. On the work front, Shilpa was last seen on OTT in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Indian Police Force’.
