Deutsche Lufthansa AG’s Supervisory Board has appointed Till Streichert as a member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective September 15, 2024. During his three-year term, which concludes on September 14, 2027, Streichert will oversee the Finance Division. Until Streichert assumes his role, Michael Niggemann will handle CFO responsibilities following Remco Steenbergen’s departure on May 7, 2024. From mid-September, Streichert will manage various sectors within the Finance Division, including Controlling & Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Corporate Accounting, Investor Relations, Corporate Taxes, Financial Services, and Mergers & Acquisitions. Karl-Ludwig Kley, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, expressed confidence in Streichert’s financial expertise and international experience, highlighting his ability to navigate the company through competitive global markets. Currently serving as CFO at Amadeus IT Group, Streichert brings over two decades of experience in senior executive and financial management roles at companies like T-Mobile UK, Boston Consulting Group, Vodafone Romania, and Vodacom South Africa. With a PhD in philosophy and a master’s degree in political sciences & philosophy from Leibniz University Hannover, Streichert also completed the Executive Program at Singularity University in 2018. Carsten Spohr, Chairman of the Executive Board & CEO of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, welcomed Streichert’s addition to the team, expecting him to complete the recomposition of the top management group.
