PIA Flight Leaves Behind Body of Deceased Child at Islamabad Airport

In a tragic turn of events, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) left the body of a six-year-old child at the Islamabad International Airport on Friday. The deceased boy, a resident of Kharmang district’s Katshi village, had been battling a brain tumor and was being transported to Benazir Bhutto Hospital in Rawalpindi for specialized treatment. However, he passed away on Thursday, leaving his family heartbroken.

The boy’s grieving parents made arrangements to transport his body to their village for burial, booking a PIA flight (PK-451) from Islamabad to Skardu. They arrived at the airport at 6 am on Friday, completed the cargo procedure, and made the necessary payment. The flight was initially scheduled to depart at 9 am, but was delayed by four hours.

Upon arriving at the Skardu airport at 2 pm, the parents were shocked and distraught to learn that their son’s body had been mistakenly left behind at the Islamabad airport. The PIA officials present at the scene attributed the negligence to the company responsible for handling cargo at the airport and assured the parents that action would be taken against them.

The incident has sparked outrage and raised questions about the competence and accountability of PIA. The family of the deceased child is understandably devastated by this unimaginable error, which has compounded their grief and prevented them from giving their son a proper burial.
