Noida International Airport (NIA) has awarded the retail and duty-free concessions to a joint venture between Heinemann Asia Pacific and BWC Forwarders Private Limited. This partnership will provide travelers with a seamless shopping experience, catering to their diverse needs.
Heinemann, known for its expertise in duty-free operations, will manage the duty-free section at NIA. Travelers will have access to a wide range of premium liquors, tobacco products, confectionery, perfumes, cosmetics, and other luxury items. Additionally, they can find fashion accessories, souvenirs, and local handicrafts.
BWC Forwarders, with its strong presence in Indian travel retail and supply chain management, will oversee both domestic retail and international duty-paid retail sectors. NIA will introduce a unique market walkthrough concept for domestic travelers, combining leading international brands with renowned Indian brands in a dynamic environment.
The airport will also highlight Uttar Pradesh’s cultural heritage through its retail offerings. Passengers can experience the region’s rich traditions through a selection of regional artifacts, textiles, woodwork, jewelry, and metalwork. This initiative aims to enhance the regional ambiance and charm passengers with the cultural offerings of Uttar Pradesh.
Noida International Airport is committed to blending Indian hospitality with Swiss technology to create a state-of-the-art facility. Initially, the airport will feature one runway and one terminal with a capacity of 12 million passengers annually. Upon completion of all phases of development, it will accommodate up to 70 million passengers each year.
