CBSE Class 12th Board Exam 2024 Results Released, Pass Percentage Rises to 87.98%

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of the Class 12th Board exams conducted in 2024. The overall pass percentage has increased marginally to 87.98%, reflecting a gradual improvement in student performance. The results are accessible online at the official CBSE website, cbseresults.nic.in, where students can retrieve their results using their roll numbers.

In comparison to 2023, there has been a slight increment in the pass percentage by 0.65%. Out of the 1,630,730 students who registered for the exams, 1,450,174 have successfully cleared all subjects. The number of schools participating in the exams has also witnessed a rise, with 18,417 schools actively involved in 2024 as opposed to 16,728 in 2023.

Gender-wise analysis reveals that both girls and boys have exhibited improvement in their pass percentages since 2023. Girls continue to maintain a higher pass rate compared to boys, with 91.52% passing in 2024 compared to 90.68% in 2023. Boys, on the other hand, have progressed from 84.67% in 2023 to 85.12% in 2024. However, the gap between the pass percentages of girls and boys has slightly widened, moving from 6.01% in 2023 to 6.40% in 2024.

Among the top-performing institutions, the Central Tibetan Schools Administration (CTSA) has retained its position with an impressive pass rate of 99.23%, continuing its legacy of academic excellence. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) have also demonstrated remarkable progress, with JNV achieving a pass rate of 98.90% in 2024, up from 97.80% in 2023, and KV achieving 98.81% in 2024, up from 97.50% in 2023. These institutions have consistently maintained high standards of education and are committed to fostering academic success among their students.
