The Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) and the General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Sharjah Airport Police Department, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enhance joint cooperation. The aim is to improve services and facilities for passengers at Sharjah Airport.
The signing ceremony occurred at the SAA building and was attended by notable figures including His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, and His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, along with His Excellency Sheikh Faisal Bin Saoud Al Qassimi, Director of SAA, and several senior officials from both organizations.
This agreement marks a significant step toward raising service standards in areas shared with Sharjah Police. Chairman Ali Salim Al Midfa expressed SAA’s commitment to collaborative initiatives and MOUs aimed at improving travel processes at Sharjah Airport. The goal is to provide passengers with a seamless experience that prioritizes efficiency, effectiveness, and quality in line with high standards of comfort and convenience.
Chairman Ali Salim Al Midfa also commended the fruitful cooperation between the two parties, particularly highlighting the efforts of the Sharjah Airport Police Department. Their teamwork has been instrumental in defining roles, responsibilities, and service standards, ensuring compliance and efficient support throughout travel processes, especially during peak times such as arrivals, departures, boarding, luggage screening, and employee gate management.
On his part, His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, stated: “The General Command of Sharjah Police seeks to strengthen its partnerships with various governmental and private sector institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah, including the SAA, with the aim of adding value to the services provided to passengers at the airport. Here, the Sharjah Airport Police Department plays a fundamental role in the excellence and success of the services offered by the airport. It is committed to efficiently applying standards and performance indicators, ensuring the presence of qualified personnel at all times to secure the safety of travelers and their luggage, airline crews, and all airport operations smoothly and effectively, with the importance of positive interactions with different segments of passengers.”
The signing of this MOU is a testament to the commitment of both the Sharjah Airport Authority and the Sharjah Police to providing passengers with a safe, efficient, and enjoyable travel experience.
