India Showcases MICE Potential at IMEX Frankfurt

The Indian tourism ministry has launched ‘Meet in India,’ a specialized sub-brand within the ‘Incredible India’ campaign, to highlight India’s appeal as a MICE destination. This initiative promotes India’s connectivity, infrastructure, knowledge hub, and diverse tourist attractions. India played host to over 200 meetings across 56 cities during its G20 Presidency, showcasing its MICE infrastructure and cultural heritage. Building on this momentum, the Ministry of Tourism aims to position India as a leading global hub for MICE activities. India’s enhanced internal connectivity by air and road, simplified travel within the country, and new conference and convention facilities have strengthened its position as a competitive MICE destination. In 2022, India ranked 9th in the ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) rankings for the Asia Pacific region, reflecting its growing prominence.
