Every year, the team at Digital Trends looks forward to getting their hands on the newest models of TVs. With 2024 models rolling in, editor-at-large Caleb Denison shares what the team has tested so far and what they think of the lineup.
1. Sony A95L QD-OLED TV
Our current top pick remains the Sony A95L QD-OLED. With a Quantum Dot-Organic Light Emitting Diode (QD-OLED) display, it offers excellent color, peak brightness, and a wide color gamut. The A95L also delivers superb audio performance with powerful representation in the treble, midrange, and bass sectors.
2. LG G4 OLED TV
Denison declares the 2024 LG G4 OLED as an early contender to supplant the Sony A95L. It has the best picture quality he’s ever tested in a TV and is the brightest TV to date. The G4 supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, Filmmaker Mode, and includes four HDMI 2.1 inputs and LG’s all-new webOS 24.
3. Samsung S95C OLED TV
The Samsung S95C is an excellent OLED TV with a bright display, sleek design, and premium features. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has an advanced One Connect box that eliminates messy cables.
4. LG M3 Wireless OLED TV
The LG M3 Wireless OLED TV addresses the problem of too many wires by using a broadcasting unit called the Zero Connect Box to transmit picture and sound wirelessly. It delivers excellent picture quality on par with the LG G3.
5. TCL QM8 Mini-LED QLED TV
The TCL QM8 is a high-value Mini-LED QLED TV with a bright display and excellent contrast. It supports HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG and has an auto game mode with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
6. Sony XR X95L Mini-LED TV
