Marvel Studios has released a new action-packed trailer for its upcoming film, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ which hits theaters on July 26, 2024. The trailer, which debuted on Monday, offers a glimpse into the highly anticipated reunion of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
The one-minute clip features a series of fast-paced and humorous moments, highlighting the signature dynamic between the two characters. In one scene, Deadpool finds himself on top of Wolverine, who is lying on the ground. ‘Get your mind out of my pants,’ Deadpool jokes as he pulls his knife out of Wolverine’s body.
The trailer also provides a sneak peek into the film’s plot, which will involve the Time Variance Authority (TVA) from ‘Loki’ and a multiversal adventure. Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, is enlisted by the TVA for a mission, forcing him to team up with Wolverine from an alternate universe.
The film marks Deadpool’s first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and Reynolds’ third time suiting up as Wilson. Jackman, on the other hand, returns to the role of Wolverine for the first time since 2017’s ‘Logan.’
The ensemble cast of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ includes Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox. The film is directed by Shawn Levy from a script he co-wrote with Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells.
The new poster for the film features Wolverine and Deadpool ready to clash, with the latter quipping about never bringing claws to a gunfight. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is part of Phase Five in the MCU and is the only Marvel film scheduled for release this year. Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of the beloved characters and the promise of a thrilling and action-packed cinematic experience.
