Nitish Kumar’s Slip of Tongue Goes Viral

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made an inadvertent slip of the tongue during a rally in Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency on Sunday, accidentally wishing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to become ‘Chief Minister’ again. A video clip of the gaffe has since gone viral on social media.

“It is our wish to win 400 plus seats in the country and may Narendra Modi become Chief Minister again,” said Nitish Kumar.

Realizing his mistake, one of the party members on the dais attempted to correct him. However, Nitish Kumar, seemingly unaware of his error, continued, “Narendra Modi is already a Prime Minister…That’s why I am saying that he may keep moving.”

The slip of the tongue drew reactions from several social media users.

Separately, Nitish Kumar criticized the opposition in Bihar, questioning their lack of progress before his party came to power in 2005.

“Was anyone getting out of their homes, there was fear. No one has this courage,” said Nitish Kumar, emphasizing the lack of improvement in education and other sectors during the opposition’s tenure.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a rally in Bihar, accused the INDIA bloc of “enslavement” and “mujra” for vote bank reasons. The INDIA bloc leader condemned Modi’s remarks, stating that such language was unbecoming of a Prime Minister.
