It was a unique race day at Santa Anita Park on Sunday. The usual competitors at the horse track were replaced with a more adorable and slower-paced group: corgis. The Corgi Summer Nationals drew a crowd of spectators eager to witness these short-legged speed demons race one another.
The event was a true celebration of the corgi breed. In addition to the races, attendees enjoyed food, activities, and traditional horse racing. However, it was the corgis who stole the show. Even those that didn’t run in a perfectly straight line or complete the race seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience.
