Nikki Haley’s ‘Finish Them’ Message on Israeli Rocket Draws Backlash

In a widely shared photo posted on X by Israeli parliament member Danny Danon, Haley was captured etching a message on an Israeli rocket shell using a purple marker. The inscription read ‘Finish Them. America <3 Israel. Always, Nikki Haley'.

This show of support for the Israeli offensive has been met with severe backlash across social media platforms like X and Instagram. Critics condemned Haley's 'unconditional support' for Israel, particularly in light of the civilian casualties in Gaza. Many global users, including Americans, Jews, and Israelis, echoed these sentiments.

Haley's actions come at a time when Israel's military actions in Rafah have drawn international outrage. The bombardment has resulted in the deaths of at least 37 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuries to over 200 more. The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has declared that there is 'no such thing as a safe place' in Gaza.

In response to the crisis, Spain, Norway, and Ireland have officially recognized a Palestinian state. Iran's Embassy in India has also expressed support for Palestinians, highlighting the plight of the over 1.4 million seeking refuge in Rafah.

Despite the backlash, Haley has maintained her stance. In a subsequent post on X, she asserted, 'I stand with Israel. They have a right to defend themselves against those who seek to destroy them.'

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine continues to be a source of intense debate and international concern.
