NEET Controversy Intensifies: Congress Demands Forensic Probe Amidst Allegations of Vyapam 2.0

The Congress party has alleged that the Modi government is attempting to cover up a major scam in the NEET-UG exam, drawing parallels to the infamous Vyapam scandal. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge raised concerns that the future of lakhs of young students is at stake. Kharge pointed to the arrest of individuals in Bihar for paper leaks and the involvement of an education mafia accepting payments for papers. He also cited the busting of a cheating racket in Godhra, Gujarat, involving transactions exceeding ₹12 crore.

Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera termed the situation as “NEET scam 2.0” and questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the matter. He emphasized the importance of the Prime Minister addressing the concerns of 24 lakh students whose futures are in jeopardy.

The Congress party also targeted Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, accusing him of providing an arrogant response that ignored the cries of students and their parents. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed concerns that the BJP government is attacking the dreams of the youth.

The developments have intensified the controversy surrounding the NEET-UG exam, with Congress demanding a Supreme Court-monitored forensic probe to safeguard the future of students and ensure transparency in the examination process.
