The 17th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme is eagerly anticipated by farmers across India. The central government has confirmed that the installment will be released on June 18, with a total of Rs 20,000 crore set to benefit 9.3 crore farmers. The release of the installment was authorized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a significant step towards supporting the agricultural community.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), a central sector scheme, is designed to provide financial assistance to landholding farmer families nationwide. The scheme aims to ease the burden of expenses related to agriculture and allied activities, as well as domestic needs.
To be eligible for the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers must meet specific criteria and have their land details seeded on the PM-KISAN portal. The scheme has been instrumental in providing financial support to farmers, with over Rs 2.42 lakh crore disbursed to more than 11 crore beneficiary farmer families through various installments since its inception in February 2019.

Click on ‘New Farmer Registration’ and enter your Aadhaar number.
Complete the captcha verification.3.
Provide the required information and click on ‘Yes’.

Complete the PM-KISAN application form and save the information.
Remember to take a printout for your records.Under the PM-KISAN scheme, Rs 6,000 is provided annually to eligible farmers, disbursed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000. The funds are directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts.
The responsibility for identifying eligible beneficiaries and uploading their verified data on the PM-KISAN portal lies with the respective State/UT Governments. The number of farmers whose land details are seeded on the portal currently exceeds 9.53 crore. (With inputs from ANI)
