For friends and former college teammates Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson, their journey has taken them from a National Championship with LSU to NFL superstardom, and now, to the glamorous world of Paris Fashion Week Men’s. Their trip, which included walking in Vogue World, has become an instant viral sensation.
Burrow, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, explained his motivation for attending: “I’ve always loved clothes but never really understood the industry, so I wanted to learn more.” Their Parisian adventure began with front-row seats at a Louis Vuitton show, followed by a tour of the Hermes atelier. They also savored the delights of French cuisine, with Jefferson remarking, “The lobster and shrimp at L’Avenue is amazing.” This was Jefferson’s first visit to the City of Light, and he expressed his initial impressions: “There’s a lot of traffic and the way people drive is kinda crazy, but it’s a great city.”
Jefferson’s aspirations extend beyond the football field, stating, “I hope to be known as more than just a football player.” He revealed his fashion preferences, favoring the Amiri brand: “I wear Amiri a lot; it’s my style—relaxed and chill.”
After a whirlwind of shows and parties, the highlight arrived – both Burrow and Jefferson strutted down the runway at Vogue World 2024. Burrow, adorned in a black suit with satin lapels by Berluti, explained his motivation for taking part: “I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and grow as a person, [and] I think walking in the show is a great way to do that.” He also expressed his belief in the growing connection between fashion and sports: “I think the crossover between fashion and sport is going to continue to grow.”
Jefferson, equally thrilled about participating in the star-studded event, shared, “This is my first show, and who wouldn’t want Vogue World to be their first?”
Their Parisian journey was documented through social media, offering glimpses into their experiences. Burrow shared a snapshot from their first night, captioned, “Night one in Paris. Dinner at Le Clerence. Hard to beat.” Jefferson provided a behind-the-scenes look at the fashion world, revealing, “Getting dressed in the car right before the Amiri show. I would always see people on TV and on social media having to do this and thought it was crazy; now I realize between traffic and close show times, it’s just something you have to do sometimes.”
The duo also shared images of their time exploring the city, with Jefferson captioning one, “Out in the streets of Paris with the papz was crazzzy.” Burrow shared a photo of them outside the Amiri show, simply writing, “Two sides of the same coin.” Jefferson documented their visit to the Hermes Metier Factory, writing, “Joe and me taking a tour of the Hermes Metier Factory. It was dope to see the history behind the brand and how everything is made. The thoughtfulness, attention to detail, craftsmanship, and ability to reuse and recycle are impressive.”
Burrow and Jefferson’s Parisian adventure serves as a testament to their evolution beyond the football field, embracing new experiences and showcasing their personal style on a global stage.
