American Cruise Lines is thrilled to announce the successful launch of its newest itinerary, the 8-Day Hudson River Summer Classic. The company is tripling the number of departures for 2025, showcasing a strong demand for scenic and historic summer cruises on the Hudson River.
Known for their sought-after Hudson River Fall Foliage cruises, which sell out a year in advance, American Cruise Lines introduced early summer sailings in May and June this year. The new 8-Day Hudson River Summer Classic, departing roundtrip from New York City, offers breathtaking views of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, and various destinations along the Hudson Valley.
The itinerary includes stops at Catskill, Albany, Kingston, Hyde Park, West Point, and Sleepy Hollow, with excursions in New York City. The summer itinerary mirrors the popular Fall Foliage cruise, featuring numerous cultural excursions throughout the Hudson Valley, providing a perfect blend of history, natural beauty, and entertainment. This cruise revives the tradition of summer vacations in the region, making it an ideal choice for families and couples seeking a unique and memorable experience.
Departures are conveniently located at Pier 81 in New York City, near the Intrepid. Passengers will embark on modern riverboats and small ships equipped with private balconies, spacious lounges, walking tracks, and world-class amenities. Guests can enjoy sweeping river views from nearly every onboard space.
The Hudson River Valley boasts a rich history, having hosted U.S. presidents, industrial tycoons, renowned artists, and notable Gilded Age figures. Passengers will be guided through historic sites such as West Point Military Academy, FDR’s Presidential Library & Museum, the Vanderbilt Mansion, and Lyndhurst. The itinerary includes a special World Trade Center experience in New York City and a visit to Sleepy Hollow, where Washington Irving penned “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”
Following the initial successful sailings, the final 2024 cruise concludes in New York City on June 25th. For 2025, American Cruise Lines is tripling the number of summer departures, with sailings in June, July, and August, along with the popular fall trips in late September and October. All Hudson River cruises feature onboard enrichment programs, nightly entertainment, all-inclusive fine dining, and complimentary evening cocktails.
American Cruise Lines is committed to providing guests with an unforgettable experience on the Hudson River, showcasing the beauty and history of this iconic American waterway.
