Cartier Trinity Celebrates 100 Years with Immersive Pop-Up Experience in Singapore

Cartier’s iconic Trinity ring, a simple design of three interlocking rings in three colors of gold, is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a series of immersive pop-up experiences around the world. Singapore is one of the lucky cities chosen to host this special event. The Trinity 100 Pop-Up will be held at The Arts House on Old Parliament, transforming the space into an engaging journey through the history and legacy of this timeless jewelry design. Visitors will traverse seven connected rooms, each dedicated to exploring a different facet of the Trinity’s story.

From its daring inception in 1924 to its enduring popularity, the pop-up will highlight the Trinity’s minimalist style, which stood out in the era of art deco and extravagant jewels. It will also delve into the ring’s fascinating history, showcasing how it has been embraced by iconic figures, from early adopters like French writer Jean Cocteau to screen legends and royalty like Grace Kelly of Monaco. Visitors can even learn about Cartier’s mystical relationship with the number three, which lies at the core of the Trinity design and symbolizes the company’s expansion and growth under the leadership of the three Cartier brothers.

But the Trinity 100 Pop-Up isn’t just about the past. It also features a brand new artistic project titled ‘Imagine Infinite Circles,’ a collaborative initiative that brings together over 100 original artworks from creators across the globe. These artists, inspired by the Trinity, have created unique pieces that reflect their individual styles and backgrounds. The exhibition is curated by Jérôme Sans, who has carefully selected 30 works for the Singapore pop-up, including creations from Singaporean artists Olivia Lee, He Shuming, and Churen Li.

The Trinity 100 Pop-Up is open to the public from July 15th to 23rd, 2024, at The Arts House, 1 Old Parliament Lane. Admission is free, but appointments are required, with hour-long slots available starting at noon. Register for your spot here. This is a rare opportunity to experience the enduring power of the Cartier Trinity and its influence on the world of art and design.
