Tragedy struck a home in Florence, Kentucky, early Saturday morning when a shooting left four people dead and three others injured. The incident occurred around 2:50 a.m. when police responded to a call at the residence. Upon arrival, officers discovered seven victims, four of whom were deceased. The three surviving victims were rushed to a Cincinnati hospital in critical condition.
Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene, leading police on a vehicle pursuit. The chase ultimately ended when the suspect’s car veered off the road and plunged into a ditch. Police discovered the suspect had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound and he later died at a hospital.
Authorities have confirmed that the suspect acted alone and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and further details are expected to be released as they become available. Florence is located approximately 12 miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio.
